The Department of Computer Science at the University of Victoria is seeking applicants for up to four positions at the Assistant or Associate rank. Candidates with research in AI, Systems, Theory, or Interdisciplinary Areas, as broadly defined by csrankings.org, are encouraged to apply. Another position at the Assistant or Associate rank, with a preference for female applicants, is available.
The Algorithms and Complexity Section at DIKU is headed by Professor Mikkel Thorup. The group is prolific at the topmost conferences like STOC, FOCS, and SODA (we had 10 papers accepted for SODA’18 and Thorup is PC chair for FOCS’18). Adding to the excitement, we have the center Basic Algorithms Research Copenhagen (BARC) which also involves the IT-University of Copenhagen.
LECTURER (multiple positions) for discrete mathematics, algorithms, and/or machine learning. Participate in educational activities during the academic year. Responsibilities include interacting with students (e.g., lecturing, leading recitations, holding office hours), creating course content, and course administration. Research supervision opportunities are also available.
UCSD has several postdoctoral fellowships focused on data science. This includes algorithms, machine learning, and complexity aspects of data science. Data Science Fellows are expected to teach one data-science related class per year, and will be given a research budget and a faculty-type office. Exceptional, self-motivated candidates with outstanding research records are encouraged to apply.
The Copenhagen Center for Health Technology (CACHET) is looking for a post-doctoral researcher within pervasive healthcare technology for diabetes management. You will have a central role in designing novel interactive and ubiquitous diabetes management technology to be used in clinical trials. You will be part of a large European project with academic and commercial partners.
