Dartmouth’s Computer Science Department invites applications for a postdoctoral position in the Theory group for the 2018-19 academic year. Research areas of interest include communication complexity, streaming/sketching algorithms, and other topics in complexity theory or algorithms that have some synergy with these.
The Department of Computer Science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte seeks candidates for multiple tenure-track positions at the rank of assistant or associate professor. One of the directions we are looking for is:
Quantum information processing including algorithms, communication, computation, cryptography and experimental platforms.
The Theory Group anticipates one or more available positions as Research Staff Members, pursuing research in theoretical computer science. The positions would start in 2018. Please see the webpage for more information.
Northeastern University, Boston, continues to hire at all levels and in all areas, including theory. In addition to a number of positions in the College of Computer Science, there is also a position joint with the Mathematics department that includes a focus on Data Science, Machine Learning, Discrete and Computational Mathematics, Probability and Statistics, or
Topological Data Analysis.
The Computer Science Department at UT Austin invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in theoretical computer science for the 2018-19 academic year. The Fellow will work with Dana Moshkovitz and David Zuckerman on pseudorandomness and computational complexity. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
The Northwestern Theory group seeks applications for 1-2 postdoctoral positions starting in September 2018. Research areas include but are not limited to algorithms, computational complexity, theoretical machine learning and optimization.
Each position will be for a period of up to two years. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
Applications are invited for multiple tenure-track faculty positions in theoretical computer science at all ranks.
One opening is available for an Assistant or Associate level Professor in Theoretical Computer Science with a preference for candidates whose work is related to Data Science including, but not limited to, theoretical aspects of machine learning, privacy, game theory, optimization, and algorithms for processing large data sets and graphs.
